چکیده
The objective of the study is to investigate influence Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) recycled plastic bottle fibers on compressive strength and cracking concrete. In this study, two types fiber are used: straight zigzag whose length aspect ratio 40 mm respectively. 0, 0.75, 1.25% volume fractions replacing coarse aggregates used in investigation. According ACI 211.1-91, design mixing 1:2:3 for M20 concrete water-cement 0.58 used. Curing done field condition weathering action allowed curing time. destructive test shows that plain 19.84 MPa, at 0.75 replacement with 19.54 18.84 18.49 15.69 MPa. non-destructive 13.58 10.36 8.82 8.21 8.10 use changes failure mode. addition decreases workability Zigzag slightly interlocking property PET increases ductility Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091684 Full Text: PDF

Fiber reinforced plastic composites using recycled materials
This work investigates the feasibility of using recycled high density polyethylene (rHDPE), recycled polypropylene (rPP) and old newsprint fiber (ONP) to manufacture fiber reinforced composites. The boards were made through air-forming and hot press. The effects of the fiber loading and coupling agent content on tensile, flexural, internal bond properties and water absorption and thickness swel...
متن کاملRecycled Polymer Materials as Aggregates for Concrete and Blocks
The potential of recycled waste polymeric materials as a substitute for aggregates in concrete has been investigated in the study. Two different types of waste polymer, namely polyurethane formaldehyde (PUF) based packaging waste and high density polyethylene (HDPE) were recycled and used in the experiment. Concrete and masonry poly block specimens were prepared using recycled polymer materials...

متن کاملUse of Recycled and Waste Fibers in Asphalt Concrete
A significant problem associated with asphalt concrete mixtures is the lack of durability resulting from an inadequate asphalt cement content. Additional asphalt cement added to increase durability results in flushing, bleeding and a significant loss In stability. Fibers have been used in stone matrix asphalt and open-graded friction course pavements successfully throughout Europe to allow high...
